3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine is an amine, a product in which one or more hydrogen atoms in an ammonia molecule have been replaced by a hydrocarbyl group. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine is widely present in the biological world and have extremely important physiological and biological activities. The molecular formula of 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine is C16H35NO and the molecular weight is 257.4552. Its density is 0.85g/cm3. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine is soluble in water, ethanol, and 2-propanol. Contact with it may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It may be toxic if ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine is used in the manufacture of other chemicals. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine has corrosion-inhibiting/corrosion-inhibiting properties. It can be dispersed. It also has emulsifying, hydrophobizing and bactericidal properties.

3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine has the following applications/functions:

1. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine acts as a corrosion inhibitor for chemicals and compounds that prevent or slow down the corrosion of materials.

2. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine can improve the surface tension between various constituent phases in the emulsion to form a uniform dispersion or emulsion, so it can be used as an emulsifier.

3. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine can replace oleylamine and soybean amine.

4. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine can be used as asphalt emulsifier. It can be reduced to continuous asphalt and the moisture can be completely removed, so that the final strength of the road material can be formed, which can enhance the softness of the road surface and is not easy to deform and crush.

5. During flotation, use the agent adding 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine to adjust the physical and chemical properties of the selected minerals and flotation medium. Thereby, the difference in hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity between gold minerals or gold-bearing minerals and gangue can be enlarged, so that they can be better sorted and achieve the purpose of improving the gold recovery rate.

6. It can also be used as textile foaming agent. It has high surface activity and can effectively reduce the surface tension of liquids. And it arranges the double electron layer on the surface of the liquid film to surround the air to form bubbles, and then a single bubble constitutes a foam.

7. 3-(isotridecyloxy)propylamine has fixed hydrophilic and lipophilic groups, which can be aligned on the surface of the solution. It can significantly reduce the surface tension of the target solution. Therefore it can be used as a surfactant.
