Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are amine, which is the product of one or more hydrogen atoms in the ammonia molecule being replaced by a hydrocarbon group. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are also secondary amine. Secondary amines have two organic substituents (alkyl, aryl or both) bound to the nitrogen together with one hydrogen. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are widely present in the biological world and have extremely important physiological and biological activities. They are alkaline. They are insoluble in water, but they are soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. Contact with them may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. They may be toxic if ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are used in the manufacture of other chemicals.

Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines have the chemical properties of organic amines. They can be strongly adsorbed on the surface of pigment particles by chemical adsorption. The polar end of the molecule (-NH2) is directly attached to the surface of the particle, while the carbon-hydrogen bond extends directionally into the medium. Thereby, the interfacial tension between the pigment surface and the medium used is reduced, and the wettability of the particles is improved. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are chemical intermediates in the manufacture of quaternary ammonium salts for softeners and other applications.

Bdbis-(Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl)amines has the following applications/functions:

1. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are mainly used in herbicides.

2. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines can also be used as a stabilizer for dioxane polymers.

3. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines are used as a water repellent for fibers.

4. Bdbis- (Hydrogenated tallow-alkyl) amines can be used as antistatic agent.

5. It can also be used as a softener.
