Lactic acid can lower the pH in the stomach, activate digestive enzymes, improve the ability of amino acids to digest, and benefit the growth of the intestinal epithelium. Piglets are fed a diet containing acidifiers for several weeks after weaning, which can increase body weight by 15% during weaning;

2. Lactic acid inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Lactating piglets are infected with diseases caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella, and the addition of lactic acid to the feed prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the lower gastrointestinal tract of piglets;
