Feature:

N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine is a long-chain aliphatic amine, which is a large class of organic amine compounds with carbon chain lengths in the range of C8-C22. After heating, N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine has a slight fishy smell. It is insoluble in water, but it is soluble in many organic solvents. It is less dense than water and therefore it floats on the surface. N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine is an organic base compound that reacts with acids to form salts, and it also reacts with CO2 in the air. Contact with it may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It may be toxic if ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine is used to make other chemicals.

N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine is toxic. Inhalation, ingestion or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may be corrosive and/or toxic and cause pollution.

N’-ethylpropane-1,3-diamine has the following applications/functions:

1. N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine can be used as the raw material of asphalt emulsifier. It can be adsorbed on the interface between asphalt particles and water, in order to significantly reduce the free energy of the interface between asphalt and water, so that it can form a uniform and stable emulsion. The emulsion manufactured with this emulsifier is mainly used for Chip seal, Tack coat and Sand seal.

2. N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine can be used as thickener. It can increase the viscosity of the system, keep the system in a uniform and stable suspended state or opaque state, or form a gel.

3. N’- ethylpropane- 1,3- diamine can also be used as flotation agent, defoamer, adhesion promoter, water repellent and corrosion inhibitor.
