Sodium salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Its mechanism of action is similar to aspirin. By inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, it can play the role of anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and antipyretic. The anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects are similar to aspirin, but the antipyretic and analgesic effects are relatively weak.
